Invite Internet

by Slack, on August 20th, 2001

I was just chatting with Greg over IM about Invite Internet, Inc. Seems we both agree that their service seriously lacks. In my opinion, it’s a damn pity they have any business at all. They touted themselves as a bargain hosting service when I signed up with them long ago. After continuously being upset with the service I was receiving from them, I soon abandoned ship.

Unfortunately, this was after I recommended them to Greg and a couple other friends of mine. Greg was hosting his business with them and all was well until they decided to move their NOC to Denver. This is when they showed their true colors. Greg’s business was out of commission for days on end. Invite apparently blamed it on Internic and the time it takes to propagate a new domain IP.

I think it was the fourth or fifth day of down time when Greg agreed with me that Invite was staffed by neophytes (in my own personal opinion of course). Not that I am an expert by any means, but I know enough to sniff out a moron in the ever crowded scene of internet hosts.

This is why I still think TetraWeb (find their site on my links page) is really and truly the ONLY host out there. Don’t waste your time, folks, check out TetraWeb! You wont be sorry!

Tell em I sent ya!

Oh, and Invite Internet, Inc has the honor of being my inspiration for the new Slack’s Place Shit List! Stay tuned! Thanks Invite!
