Somebody stop the bus!

by Slack, on September 30th, 2003

Just for one day, I want to do nothing in particular. I’m tired, and this rocket ride just keeps on burning. Working for 12 hours a day (including transit) doesn’t help. Leaves me little time to do anything after work if I want to get a decent amount of sleep. Then enter the twins. Tomorrow we have to wake up at 7am to go get an ultrasound. That’s not a bad thing, mind you. I’m stoked to get to see the kids again. It’s just funny that they are not even born and already my schedule sacrifices to them. ;) hehehe I should just get used to not sleeping well for the next 18 years. :) I can’t wait until they are born, because at that moment I have a feeling nothing will bother me quite so much anymore. :) On that note, g’nite!

Ahhhh Japanese Food.

by Slack, on September 27th, 2003

So, tonight we went to eat at my favorite Teppan-Yaki place. You gotta love these places. Good food, and you get overcharged for a chef banging kitchen utensils together while he cooks your food. It was cool the first time. :) But, again damn if the food isn’t good. Tonight was more entertaining than others tho since our chef was either off his game or just new. Why do we take pleasure in human misfortune? :) lol But, it was neat seeing him fling an empty platter across the table next to us.

Much better than the “Japanese” place I decided to eat at when we went to the mall the other day. I should have turned and walked away when the chef greeted me, “Welcome to Sarku Japan! Como esta!” What the fuck is that!? Como esta? Nothing against mexicans, but I REALLY didn’t expect to have one cook my japanese food…. Needless to say, it was HORRIBLE.

So, another weekend comes to an end for me. How terrible is it that my weekend ends on a Friday!? :( Anyway, time for bed.

ESD, ALSA and OSS… Oh my!

by Slack, on September 25th, 2003

ESD, ALSA and OSS… Oh my! If those acronyms mean anything to you, then you know what hell I’ve been going through the last few days. Sometimes it is hard to have a linux desktop! For instance, just to get sound mixing working I had to embark on a 4 day journey through the pits of hell and back. To make it worse, in the end once I fixed sound mixing, I don’t even understand how I did it?! That’s the beauty of linux… Where’s my scotch? I picked a hell of a day to quit sniffing glue!

Laundry Service

Ok, does anyone really fall for this?

OMG! I’m Speechless…

by Slack, on September 21st, 2003

Un-fucking-believable!

What’s worse, is if you look at the “Creation Date” and the “Modified Date”, it shows that there have been more than one version of this FAQ entry! Is it really so confusing of an issue that the original answer had to be updated for clarity?! I mean, COME ON people!

Hotel Congress

by Slack, on September 21st, 2003

Well, last night I met up with an old friend from way back in Korea. :) He was in town on a weekend pass from Fort Huachuca, south of here. We went to Hotel Congress for drinks and eats. :) All the years I’ve lived here I’ve never been to this place. I was very impressed. They have the best Top Sirloin I’ve ever had. Also, one of the only places I’ve found in town that serves Glenmorangie Port Wood Scotch! YUM! And what’s better is on Sunday nights they have $4 top shelf scotch night! :) Talk about kewl. Oh yes, I am sooooo going back. :) It’s just too bad it’s such a long drive home… ugh… We really need a good bar in our part of town.
