Slack’s Place

A real-time account of life among the Earthlings…

Nothing Profound

by Slack, on July 8th, 2004

So, here I sit. I’ve been trying to think of something earth shaking. Something that bears a great and impactful meaning. Something I could write about other than day to day duldrums of the life of one geek, his wife and his son. :)

Well, what did I think of? Nothing profoud, that’s for sure. Life is quite dull here. I don’t have anything earth shaking, nothing impactful and certainly nothing of great importance to write about. All is well with Rhys. Heidi and I are in relatively good health. I found a couple new games I enjoy playing. Heidi got some yard work done. I’m going to a day shift with weekends off. Finally, the pets are just about all the same as they ever are… See? Nothing profound.

Mike says:

Nothing Profound? I don’t think so, I noticed the return of the smoke free Slack counter on the website.

I look forward to the counter reaching 30 days this time around.

Good luck….

Mike

Mom says:

Mike is right, Hon. So glad that you’re not smoking and hopefully you’ll stick to it this time.

Enjoyed my visit with you guys yesterday. Maybe you can post a picture of Rhys next time.

Much love,

Mom

CHARITY FRANCO says:

Kurt says:

Knowing your track record, don’t you think your lack of profundity is not profound in it self? No computer problems, no car problems, no pet problems, no health problems… Definitly profound!

Jason says:

….and I hope you recognize that as a good thing!

Best to all!

-Jason, Molly, and Julia!

Slack says:

Yeah, I recognize it’s all good. :) Can’t wait to start the new schedule. Perhaps things will start feeling normal around here… Imagine that!

Charles says:

heh heh, Kurt said “profundity.” Err, I guess that’s not as funny as it was in my head. Oh well. Hey, keep not smoking. It’s worked out great for me for over 3 decades.
