Ok, so I just wanted to vent real quick… I’m trying to run a damn web host, because I have this pipe dream that if I can just successfully host a number of sites, I’d have some spare income to supplement things… Well, in reality it’s barely beer money. :) I love my Server Hosting Company that I work with. They are great! But, I hate renting a server… It makes me feel a bit … well … stupid. I’d rather be renting space in a CoLo and managing the server 100% myself. I’m working toward that, albeit at a very slow pace. Whenever I try to further my knowledge in this arena I just end up feeling very OLD.

Ever look back and wish you’d spent more time on other things? Of course you do… Everyone does. I wish I would have spent less time partying and more time learning Linux/UNIX. Ugh… My brain hurts…

Where does the time go? Sheesh! So, just this weekend we had a visit from Auntie Jess and Uncle Yance. :) They came down and got to see Rhys for the first time. He warmed up to them like he’d been cuddling with them since day one. :)

We had a nice visit and they actually stayed the night so we drank plenty, and watched good TV. Yance brought some nice cigars with him, so we sat out back smoking cigars and sippin’ scotch. :) Good times. :) Jess and Heidi finally got to catch up on things and Josh built dinosaur kits from the old business we had. :) Man! You should have seen the Large T-Rex kit!! Wish I snapped a pic of that one!

In other news, I’ve got server upgrades going in tonight and tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully those will all go well. I’m also on call at Spacely, but hopefully I won’t be needed. All this on top of me being sick! Yep! I’m sick… Ugh… Got some nasty chest cold/creepy crud type thing. I was sick all fuggin weekend and boy that put a damper on my spirits! :( Everytime I stand up I get REALLY damn dizzy… And no, that’s not after I’ve taken the Nyquil! So, I took a partial day off today to recoup some energy and get some needed rest. Hopefully I will be better tomorrow for the upgrades. :)

In the gaming scene I recently gave Planetside a try. Much to my dismay it was WAY too addicting and I decided to cut the cord while I was in my trial period. Same shit that happened when I played Evercrack some time ago… Besides, with all the fine games like Farcry and Doom3 out now I shouldn’t need Planetside… Right? :( I do miss it…
