Free Your Browser

by Slack, on March 10th, 2005

In my daily surfs I stumbled onto a blog entry that conveys my frustration with the IE monster quite well. It inspired (read: guilted) me into doing my share. :) Even if you have no interest in the browser wars, or getting into the politics of OS/Brand affinity, as a computer user you owe it to yourself to check out the following sites:

Ok, I’ll step off my soapbox now. :)

Dude. Let’s do it. Let’s block IE from viewing the CSS. I have the javascript ready. :)

I’d be onboard, but doing that would make us the victims… It’s a vicious circle. :( I still have to get my CSS working right in Firefox!!! Ugh… Why can’t there be 48 hours in a day? :-D

I do think, however, a nice little pop up window saying something like:

“Your browser was created by a company which enjoys spying on it’s customers, and destroying technological progress by not cooperating with the internet community…”

Or some such crap… :)

Firefox has proved to be the best browser in both speed and capabilities. Strange that IE (and Microsoft) has not done anything to prevent this or perhaps altered someting to compete with FF in a better way. Building in IE with XP is NOT the best solution.
