Heyo. I’m back after a long hiatus. Lots of changes in my personal space. So much to update on, and really so little time. Since most of the readers (if you guys are even still reading) are family, we’ll start with updating on Rhys.

Rhys is doing GREAT! We couldn’t be happier, and it really is a miracle that he is doing so well. No really big problems to speak of. He’s walking, running, laughing, playing, and just recently started talking! Woot! Not sure what his first word was, as most of his words are still pretty much baby talk (i.e. Ma-Mooooon for Moon, Wada for Water, etc). Probably “kitty-cat” (pronounced something like kattie ka) was his first word. At any rate, the point is he is communicating verbally with us now. :) Let me tell you, it just makes Da-ee and Muh-mi soooooo damn proud (and relieved).

He’s still having reflux issues now and then, but nothing near the problems he was having before. He’s still taking Prevacid — just like daddy — but no more Regalun (however you spell that). I’m not sure if I had mentioned he was off the Regalun before. This is good news since that med was shown to cause ill effects sometimes. Rhys has taken a few bad spills. A header into the end table, a front flip off the couch, and a “whoopsie doo” on the slick floor to name a few. If he gets hurt bad enough he gets really upset and has on occasion thrown up. This would be about the only time we see any evidence of the reflux issues. Or maybe it’s perfectly normal for a drama king like him to get so flippin upset that he projectile vomits… That or the demons within are making their presence known. :)

In other news, Heidi is taking a cake decorating class on Mondays. She is doing very well with it, and it sounds like she’s found herself a passion of sorts. How cool is that! She’s really good at it, to boot. The only downside to this cake class is… well… all the damn cakes we’ve had to eat. They were damn good, don’t get me wrong, but damn it, it’s not helping me with my whole ‘getting fit’ thing. Grrrr.

In my personal realm, the really big news for those of you that know me, is my recent switch back to Windows… ::pausing for dramatic effect:: Yep, that’s right, I made the switch back to the Evil Empire. And yes, I do fell like a total and complete Sell Out. I must admit, however, it is nice to have all the gadgets and doo-dahs working when you plug them in. :) Oh, and I built a supercomputer!!! I’ll have to toot that horn in a later article. :)

In a nutshell, Heidi and I have done some soul searching, reconfiguring, and reprioritizing. A sort of Fall Realignment… Is it Fall? Whatver, a “That Season Between Summer and Winter Realignment”. :)

So, to those that care, everything’s good in this area. To those that don’t, well, I guess you aren’t reading this if you don’t care… And if you are, go find something enjoyable to do!!
