A real-time account of life among the Earthlings…

Viva Mexico!

usinmexico.JPGSo, we just got back from Mexico. This was a much needed break from reality, and from our parental responsibilities. Rhys stayed with Lola and had a blast as usual. Since we can’t afford to go to Hawai’i on my poorman’s wages, Mexico was the obvious decision. We stayed at The Princessa again. It was a blast to say the least. Once again, the only problem was not having enough time to soak in all the vacation goodness. Click here to see the view from the patio. It was very difficult to be depressed or stressed out when you wake up to that view. :) Oh so nice. :)

All in all, a good time. On the first day there Heidi and Drew hit the fish market while Cyn and I sat on our asses and watched the grass grow and the vodka disappear. We enjoyed the beach on the second day since it was FREEZING fucking cold on the first day. Heidi and Cyn got approached by some teens to join them on their “Girls Gone Wild” video attempt. I slept through that, but I imagine the girl’s bubbly personality was almost thrown in the pool along with the video camera. I heard we had one “wardrobe malfunction” at the pool, though. hahahah

The Princessa is on Sandy Beach, a collection of other resorts and fun times. While we were checking out how much the beach had developed since the last trip, Drew and I decided it would be a good idea to sprint down the beach as far as we could. Because, you know, we’re 12 years old. We were quickly reminded that we were not in fact 12 years old, and the response I got when I commented about my thighs being on fire was, “I feel like I wanna puke, man…” So, that was some much needed inspiration to get back in shape. So was the fact that most of the eye candy this trip catered to the girls. :) hehehe

We found ourselves at Playa Bonita on Saturday night where Heidi and Cyndi were able to get their groove thang on. You know me, my groove thang is in the shop. heidisgroovethang.JPG So, I just enjoyed the vodka all night long. Again, hard to be upset here. Although, I went to request a song from the DJ and decided I would skip the last step down on my way out - I had been REALLY enjoying the vodka up to that point. So, yeah, that was upsetting. HA! The bastard didn’t even play my song!!! To his credit, I’m sure when I requested “Daft Punk” it came out something like, “Shaft Drunk”.. So, no biggie dah.

Sunday we did the usual last day of vacation thing where we weep about coming back to reality. Not much to tell there. Hopefully it won’t be long until we return. :) Always a good time.

Joel says:

Um. Don’t they make Gin Surprise in Mexico?

Slack says:

Heh, nobody can make Gin Surprise quite like me. ;)
