EVE Online

So, I recently got caught up into Eve again after a long hiatus. I quit awhile back because the game started to get boring. Well, turns out that is the nature of the beast really.
Eve is a Massively Multiplayer Online Game. One of the few to break away from the fantasy genre that has saturated the MMO market, and I dare say really the only one that has done the spaceship simulator genre. The only other MMO I can think of that attempted to go this route was Vendetta Online. I haven’t tried Vendetta out, but I plan to try it here soon. Is it just me, or does it seem that Opportunity is beating down the door with a battering ram?
Anyway, for you MMO fans out there — especially you space sim junkies out there — I’d highly recommend giving Eve a shot. It’s not just Evercrack in space, mind you. This is the chess of MMO’s. It’s not for a quick game. It’s not for people who don’t want to work. The creators often refer to it as a sandbox that they created for all of us to play in. It’s very much up to the players to create and mold the gaming experience. So, why did I leave for awhile? Well, because I wasn’t making my gaming experience. I was relying on the in game missions to tell me what to do to have fun. You really got to go out and make your own fun. So, I’m back, making my own fun now.
So, I just wanted to drop a quick plug for Eve. It’s really a great game that I fully support. I hope to see some of you joining up! It’s the perfect MMO for the intellectual gamer who wants a hugely full, and open ended experience. This isn’t your daddy’s MMO, people. ;)
