Battlefield 2142

by Slack, on April 27th, 2007

Since everyone has been waiting for my personal review of 2142, I thought I’d post it up… Yes, that was sarcasm.

So, after much prodding by SF_Deviant, I decided to go out and grab a copy of Battlefield 2142. Aalok picked it up as well, so we can all get our FPS fix when were waiting for skills to train up in Eve. My god, my latest skill, Gallente Industrial V, is going to take 28 days!!

Wanna read the rest of Battlefield 2142?

Mexico!

by Slack, on April 21st, 2007

If all works out right, I should be in Mexico, on the beach, with a sexy redhead next to me when this post hits. It ain’t Hawai’i, but it is cheap. :) Hopefully, I’ll have pictures to share this time! See you guys Monday!

UniExtract.

by Slack, on April 16th, 2007

Kudos to UniExtract! It’s a great piece of software that allows you to extract files from just about any type of file packaging standard! What’s better is it is basically add on Explorer context menus instead of a whole new bulky program. Best of all, it’s free!!

I like to share new whizbang software pieces when I find them, so there ya go!

Firefox Autocomplete

by Slack, on April 14th, 2007

This just in! New discovery! The Firefox Autocomplete feature that we all know and love just got better. Is there anything more annoying than getting wrong shit in your autocomplete for a dropdown box. For instance, you go to login to your favorite website and mistype your name. Now, BANG, that f-ed up name is in there for good!

No, it’s not, you say! Yes, I know, you can go into the Options and weed it out… BUT, there’s an even better way to do it. Drop the list down, and hover your mouse over the offending list item. Once it’s highlighted, press SHIFT+DEL. BAM! It’s gone. :)

I must credit my pod mate with this discovery, so thanks Sean! Not sure if he’s found this website yet, but just in case… :)

Happy POETS Day

by Slack, on April 13th, 2007

Ahhh Friday. POETS Day, as its called. Piss on Everything, Tomorrow’s Saturday. It’s the day I usually ride my bike into work since I don’t have to wear the Monkey Suit. But, today, the roads were wet. I know, I know, you can ride when it’s wet! But, I have no rear fender and didn’t want a nice water streak on my back during work… What’s worse is the roads have now sufficiently dried… DOH!!! Definitely going to have to fit a ride in this weekend. Better news, one of my rider friends is getting himself a new ZX-9 — well, new to him anyway. So, I’ll be able to go riding with him and perhaps he can teach this old dog some new tricks.

In other news, our first weekly Eve Night was a miserable disaster. I was the only corp member to show up! LOL Rick had another spectacular excuse — something about having no power in his house, sheesh! ;) Drew just didn’t show — but, that’s Drew. Gotta love him. Kev’s in LA working. Haven’t seen Ki or Brian in game in forever, and Chris has yet to join!!! JOIN UP ALREADY, DUDER!!! Click here to do it so I get credit. ;) We’re getting away from mining it seems, and leaning towards more PvP type actions. Can’t wait to get into a good fray with some other capsuleers.

Finally, tonight is date night! I have a hot date with a sexy redhead, so nothing’s bringing me down! :)

Take care out there!

The 2007 Live Better Saga, Part 2

by Slack, on April 4th, 2007

We are three days into our new diets and positive changes. So far, so good, sort of. Heidi is kicking ass as per usual. She’s down 6 lbs already. I’m only down 3.5 lbs. I’m going to modify my ridiculous calorie and fat restraints, because, well, they are ridiculous. So, I’m shooting for 1200 calories and 30g of fat on the weekdays now, and 2000 calories and 50g of fat on the weekends. I think that will be a reasonable restriction, and should keep everything good.

No other news in my world… Have fun out there!
