The 2007 Live Better Saga, Part 1

Well, I was doing quite well for awhile there. I had my weight down to a respectable level, I was eating healthy, and actually exercising. Then something happened. Life happened, and I slipped back into the old routine. The easy routine. The routine that includes huge bags of chips and green onion dip… God, that stuff is good.
But, no more, I say! It’s time to get back on track. Time to eat better, lose some of this damn weight, and actually start exercising again! Yes, that’s right, we’re going on another trip to Mexico.
The beach always inspires us to look better. I mean you can only take it so long before the chiseled freaks on the beach make you want to club them over the head with a baby seal.
So, today is day one of 2007’s Live Better Saga. What’s the plan?
* Calories are coming down. No more than 1200 calories and 20g of fat on weekdays. I’ll up that to 2000 calories and 35g of fat on weekends.
* At least 20 minutes of exercise every weekday. Hopefully I can pull off more…
* Time to cut out the processed meats. Time to eat more healthy, damn it!
So, we’ll see where this takes me. I have till April 20th to get into “Beach Shape”. Wish me luck!
