Yet Another Week…

by Slack, on August 27th, 2006

So the big move at Spacely is all done. What’s more is it actually went pretty damn well! So, here I am late at night, trying to get ready for the new week. I’m now in a new desk at the new building and soon to be the lucky new recipient of our next night shift. This is both a blessing and a curse. While I’m going to have more time for coding and studying I’m going to see my wife and son even less than I get to now. Oh well, it’s only four months, right? :) BLARF

In other news, Rhys is doing well these days. He’s being the normal defiant and testing two year old. Just driving us absolutely bat shit crazy.

Speaking of bat shit crazy, Heidi is here next to me watching some freaky ass orchestra shit. Nothing against strings, man. My roots are still in good string music, but we are supposed to be chilling. :P Ok, and now she is listening to one of those “Hits of the 70’s” infomercials.

She just punctuated that event with, “You know, I still want that AM Gold collection..” And I’m the crazy one… Yeah.

Ok, why so I seem to be babbling on? Well, it’s because I’m having fun using my new TenGo user input system for my PDA. I’d put up the link for you but IE on the PDA sucks. Google it. It’s free, but I totally plan on paying for the extended version. Imagine typing at 74 words per minute on your PDA!

[EDIT] Here’s the link to TenGo!

Yay for Bugs!

by Slack, on August 21st, 2006

I’d just like to stop and take a moment to celebrate bugs… YAY FOR BUGS!!! I mean, let’s stop and recognize some of the things that BUGS make possible:

1. Bugs in your directory delete function can destroy an entire root web directory in nanoseconds!
2. Bugs allow us to experience that OH SO FUN “Oh-Shit-Second”!
3. Bugs are a good excuse to drink heavily after an entire night’s work is in the shitter!
4. Bugs can single-handedly destroy your code AND your will to keep coding.
5. Bugs allow us to waste HOURS UPON HOURS of time searching for them. Only to find the BUG is a missed semi colon!!!
6. Without bugs, there would be no DEBUGGING!!! WE ALL LOVE DEBUGGING!

Yay for the Redesign Bug!

by Slack, on August 19th, 2006

Hey, Shad, am I right? There’s nothing like a good redesign fix! … YES my current design is a prefab… But, it’s nice, and it will spur me along to do the custom jobby. :) I see much coffee and little sleep in my future! :)

Comrade Ketel!

by Slack, on August 18th, 2006

YAY for Comrade Ketel!!! … that is all.

Yay For ME!

by Slack, on August 17th, 2006

Ok, so I’ve successfully moved my site over to a new server… Yes, I realize that in itself is amazing for me, but I did it while tanked up a bit on Vodka! Can you say miracle. I even managed to upgrade the backend too!! WHeeeeee! Ok, time for bed!

ALLERGIES…

by Slack, on August 12th, 2006

Well, it seems I’ve caught Rhys’ ALLERGIES… I sure hope these ALLERGIES stop with me. My mom seems to have caught the same ALERGIC reactions too. You know, things like chills, aches, and pains with a touch of feverish deleria. I took some Benadryl but it didn’t seem to help.. These are some mighty powerful ALLERGIES! So, I’m taking some nicotine, hot tea, and nyquil. I figure I have about 10 good minutes to go before full system shutdown. And there it is… No time for spell check. Night night.
