Where’s Mommy?

by Slack, on May 23rd, 2007

This morning I woke to my son screaming, “Where’s mommy!!! MOMMY! I can’t find you!”

I looked over and sure enough, she was gone, and my son was laying in her spot sobbing and whimpering. She just went on her morning run. It’s not like she finally smartened up and rode away with her new knight in shining armor or anything. I knew this instantly, of course, because my son was left there. :)

He was so distraught over mommy not being there. There was no consoling him either. Daddy wasn’t gonna cut it, he needed mommy. Why am I sharing this play by play of my morning? I don’t know. It was adorable, and sad at the same time? Because my mother reads this site and will get a kick out of it? Because I’m bored? I don’t know.

At any rate, it’s things like that which make having a kid the best thing in the entire world. Moments like that really put everything else into perspective. All the stress in your world all of a sudden seem so unimportant. So, just wanted to share my morning with you all and I hope we all take a moment to sit back and get some perspective on our lives.

Mom says:

Didn’t read this till this morning. Poor darling Rhys!! How frantic it must be for him. He didn’t tell me about it when I was there yesterday. Had a nice visit with him and Heidi though.

How’s your back? Hope the meds helped a bit.

Love,

Mom xoxoxo

Slack says:

It has helped. Thank you for that! :)
