I stumbled onto this graphic at the Boston Globe. I am very much a proponent of naps. Everytime I take one — as long as I don’t oversleep — I feel great! But, the common workplace is not conducive to napping, and it’s even frowned upon. Yet another vestige of the old school way of thinking. Very much a self sacrificing arena of thought. I wonder when we will come around to doing things instep with our biology…
And now, a random thought from the “You Couldn’t Give Less of a Shit Department”.
There I was, driving back to work from my second field trip to some school on the ass end of town. I pull up to a red light and stop of course. I pause to take in my surroundings, and what do I see? Some twenty-something wearing a mini skirt! Yay you say? Nay, my friend, this was a far cry from yay. This girl was crossing the street as proud as can be, in her flowy (as opposed to skin tight) mini skirt and you were just praying for calm winds. WHY do they make these skirts in sizes above 10?
Ok, are you done calling me an insensitive ass now? I’m all for pride in the way you look, and the whole beauty takes many forms thing. I’m certainly not against larger folk being comfortable in their skin. Hell, I’m jealous, cuz I’m sure not comfortable in mine. But, seriously, don’t pretend a blimp is a fighter jet, if you know what I mean. It’s like painting racing stripes on a moped, or a Yugo.
I’ve got nothing profound to say, as per normal. No news to speak of. So, in lieu of something useful, I thought I’d just share with you the next few places I surf to. YAY!

UPDATE: The snow is now sticking to the concrete and the asphalt. I’ll grab a pic tomorrow morning of the damage. I’m sure my morning drive will be interesting too! hahahha
So, I have one more plug for you folks. You know, both the readers of this site. ;) Does anyone still read this thing besides me? Anyway, a friend of mine, Ellie, made a clothing design on cafe press. It’s quite apparent that it was a cathartic endeavor for her repressed angst over her hubby’s addiciton to Evercrack2. Being a reformed Evercrack addict, I can spread the word in good conscience. :) Sorry Kev, aka Dieter. :) hahaha
